The year-round dynamics of carbon pools and CO2 emissions from Haplic Chernozems (forest-steppe) and sandy Albic Podzols (south taiga), and separately, from litter, at all stages of post-agrogenic successions were compared. In general the restoration patterns in both ecosystems were found to be more similar, than it was previously expected. Nevertheless the data obtained convince that zonal succession features must be taken into consideration, when modeling the CO2-responce of large regional territories in a process of human exploitation or after land use.
