Production of b-quarks in pp collisions at 2, 7 and 14 TeV was simulated with PYTHIA6.4.20 separately for three main production mechanisms: flavor creation, flavor excitation and parton shower/fragmentation, or gluon splitting. Cross sections of b-production with cuts, applied by LHC experiments, are presented. Multiplicities of charged hadrons and underlying events for b-quarks from different mechanisms were calculated. Particle multiplicities for gluon splitting mechanism are found to be higher, than in flavor creation or flavor excitation.
