Abstract. The paper deals with laboratory preclinical studies of the effect of single-layer carbon nanotubes on the organs of rats. To understand the possible mechanisms of the effect of single-layer carbon nanotubes on immunity indices was studied the synthesis of cytokines at the level of their transcription. It is assumed that intranasal administration of single-layer carbon nanotubes in a small dose can be used in medicine to deliver drugs to the brain. Preclinical studies provide an opportunity to determine the effectiveness of the application, possible contraindications and side effects, in order to further determine the extent of clinical trials and the very possibility of their conduct. It is proposed to develop information support for preclinical scientific research. It was considered the application of functional modeling technology for the construction of logical information models in the IDEF0 nomination. Detailing the model consists in a step-by-step examination of the entire research process. The need for information support for research is related to the tasks of structuring, storing and processing large amounts of experimental data.
