CRYSTAL GROWTH: Fundamentals and Methodsучебный курс

- Описание: This course has evolved as a self-consistent curriculum of lectures, seminars, training and research in laboratories at Moscow State University in collaboration with research institutes industry. It is focused on the most important fundamentals of nucleation and crystal growth, on basic techniques for growing crystals with predicted composition, structure, properties and external configuration , as well as on the role of mineralogical investigations in this connection. This long-term course consists of: 1) the lectures and seminars; 2) the laboratory works to provide practical experience and to clarify some concepts and techniques; 3) the research work aimed at the students who intend to major in crystal growth and morphology. This interdisciplinary curriculum brings together various aspects of the recent achievements in the fields of physics, chemistry, materials science and mineralogy.
