- Аннотация: The politician’s stylistic behavior serves pragmatic purposes. This study attempts to provide insights into pragmastylistic features of American and British election discourse, as this is the domain which reveals politician’s stylistic behavior most fully. Theoretically, this research makes a contribution to studies in political discourse. Practically, the paper delves into the differences between American and British political cultures and seeks to show how politicians use language in the strife for power and influence over the voter.
