Аннотация:Abstract
This report describes the way the technology of ozonation together with sorption on activated
carbons (AC) corresponds to the 12 principles of the «green chemistry» and provides illustrative
example of drinking water treatment station which purifies underground water from ions of iron
with capacity of 160 m3
/h.
R&D, design, construction and maintenance of the station are described. The process flow diagram
of the station is also provided.
Our сompany LLC NVF «TIMIS» was the first which proposed the environmentally friendly
method of disposal of residual products after purification of water by using them as components in
the catalyst decomposition of ozone.
The research work in MSU named after Lomonosov has shown that ozonation with AC - sorption
technology reduces the concentration of total iron from 1.28 mg/l to 0.03 mg/l, reduces color grade
and turbidity, provides disinfection and deodorization of water, oxidizes organic and ions of iron
more effectively than the oxidation of water by air or oxygen. This technology has successfully
purified more than 8 000 000 m3
of underground water for the last 8 years.
