- Аннотация: 2D-coast effect case study performed to understand seabed MT-transfer functions behavior at off-shore coastal zone and to estimate anomalous effect parameters. Calculated response has shown unrealistic anomalies particularly of TE-mode phase. Short-period (up to 30 000 s) branches of TEphase curves seem to exceed the bounds of native quadrant [-90°;0°] and achieve values up to -250°. Such kind of phase behavior results in strong violation of dispersion (Weidelt’s) relationship between amplitude and phase, that usually is carried out in 1D- and surface 2D-impedance. It was ascertained that anomalous effect is mostly concentrated in magnetic component. Some spatialfrequency analysis of considered anomaly was performed. Relationship between anomalous effect intensity and seawater conductive layer thickness was investigated.
