Аннотация: A landslide body was identified in a gravel soil hillslope facing a tourist ropeway station in Sochi mountain cluster. Regarding the hillslope is in the vicinity of the ropeway station, the stability analyses of landslide were performed. As the area seismicity magnitude is 8, possible earthquake effect should be taken into account of the calculation of slope stability. Both limit equilibrium method (LEM) and finite element method (FEM) are used, meanwhile the seismic effect was taken into consideration using pseudostatic and dynamic analysis. Analysis results show that FEM is more realistic than LEM, and that in pseudostatic and dynamic analyses factors of safety are below 1.0. It’s concluded that the landslide process will occur during the model seismic event.
