Аннотация:Using the luminescent microscopy method, an epiphytic microbial community of Fucus sp. sea
macrophytes collected in the littoral zone of White Sea was investigated. The abundant colonization of macrophytes' surface by various bacteria, yeast, and microscopic alga was revealed. The active enrichment in microorganisms' cultures—oxidizers of oil and its derivatives—were obtained while using fukus thallus fragments. In macrocosm experiments on a biological research station of Moscow State University (MSU) in the White Sea at the conditions imitating that of nature, the high oxidizing ability of selected cultures of the epiphytic microbial community was demonstrated. The rate of oil utilization was shown to depend on its concentration and amount of epiphytic microbial community biomass used for this process.
