Аннотация:A new α-diimine-type ligand - 1 was synthesized and fully
characterized. It reacted with NiBr2 to form the corresponding complex
which was characterized by elemental analysis and infrared spectroscopy.
According to the X-ray complex crystallizes from aqueous methanol as the
hydrated dimer with ionic structure (L2Ni2Br3٠2Н2О)+Br- and distorted
octahedral environment of nickel atoms. Pre-catalyst, activated with
either Et3Al2Cl3 or Et2AlCl, showed good activities in ethylene
oligomerization. Notably high selectivity to α-olefins was achieved in
the presence of Et3Al2Cl3. The addition of PPh3 to the Ni(II)-based
systems enhanced the catalytic activity and switched the selectivity from
terminal to internal olefins.
