Аннотация:Abstract: The paper presents new results of detail pollen and macrofossil investigation of Late Pleistocene deposits in the Central Forest State Natural Biosphere Reserve (the south of Valdai Hills). According to obtained data the Eemian (Mikulino) Interglacial, the Weichselian (Valdai) glacial deposits occur in the territory of the Reserve. The main trends of landscape development were determined both by changes of pollen and macrofossil assemblages and on the base of analysis of fossil flora using Ellenberg’s scale. The typical forest successions of the Eemian Interglacial and short-term phases in the Interglacial\Glacial transition have been determined. The first post-Eemian cooling comprised several short stages of cooling and weak climatic ameliorations that point to general climatic instability in the initial part of this glacial epoch
