Аннотация:The compact dendrimer polycations was shown to be fully penetrable for linear polyanions such as poly(sodium acrylate) or poly(sodium 2-acrylamido-2-methylpropane sulfonate). So all of protonated dendrimer peripheral primary amine groups as well as internal tertiary amine groups are available to form salt bonds with monomer units of flexible polyanion. Interaction of dendrimers with rigid DNA double helix is unlike that for the flexible polyanions. DNA-dendrimer complex looks like the bead-necklace with alternating positively charged dendrimers "beads" and negativaly charged DNA double helix "rods". Because of electrostatic attraction between them complexed DNA compacts revealing a wound double-helical structure. Such compact complex mimics to some extent DNA-histone complex species. The kinetics and mechanism of dendrimers transport into negatively charged polyelectrolyte networks was studied especially. It was shown that this process proceeds as heterogeneous frontal interpolyelectrolyte reaction with practically 100% yield which is accompanied by the strong localized network collapse.
