- Аннотация: The article is devoted to the study of such phenomenon in modern journalism as a fake. The study carries out an identification of patterns in the relationship between information flows and empirical reality in the context of showcivilization by analyzing the practice of Ukrainian conflictcoverage made by the Russian media. There were fixed fundamental differences in the interpretation of factual basis in the mass media. The authors define fake as the dominant format, which distorts the endeavor to create an objective reality in the information space. As a result of its widespread use in journalists' activity, there emerges a problem of reliability of the information obtained.
