Аннотация:In this paper we present the implementation of iterative methods as solvers forthe Discrete Sources Method (DSM). In general, this method for light scatteringcomputations generates linear systems with dense matrices which are solved bythe QR decomposition method. Nevertheless, for large particles or particleswith extreme geometries even this mostly stable solver can fail. In these cases,we expect that iterative methods can provide a satisfying solution. In addition,we check if these methods are preferable for typical light scattering problemsregarding the performance and the accuracy. In our investigation we include fourdifferent iterative solvers (RGMRES, BiCGStab, BiCGStab(l), and MinRes).
