К вопросу об участии населения пьяноборской культуры в формировании народов Волго-Камья: дискретные признаки на черепах из Ново-Сасыкульского могильникастатья
Аннотация:The article discusses the contribution of Piany Bor population to the formation of Volga-Kama population groups in the light of cranial phenetics (non-metric) data. The material represents a sample of crania (98 skulls) from the Novo-Sasykul cemetery in the Lower Kama region. The analysis includes recording the frequencies of 36 cranial non-metric traits and then performing multidimensional comparison with some modern and ancient samples by means of Correspondence analysis. The analysis is carried out in two stages. The first stage included comparison of Pyany Bor sample from Novo-Sasykul with 20 groups (17 of which are modern, or close to modern) for 30 traits of the A.A Movsesyan (2005) phenetic program. At the second stage, the number of groups analyzed is expanded involving samples from the territory of Volga Bulgaria, but the number of compared traits is reduced to 27. The analysis of the phenetic features of the Novo-Sasykul samples showed that the population that left this cemetery was formed on the basis of groups with predominantly European ancestry. The similarity of the Piany Bor series from Novo-Sasykul with the series of Mari and Mordovians on the one hand, and its close proximity to the sample from Central Karelia, on the other, finds quite tangible parallels in the results of the craniometric study of the skulls from the Pyany Bor burial grounds.
