Аннотация:The room temperature single-electron transistor based on the single cluster molecule has been demonstrated for the first time. A scanning tunneling microscope was used to study the transport via the well separated carbon cluster molecules 1,7-(CH3)2-1,2-C2B10H9Tl(OCOCF3)2 incorporated into a Langmuir-Blodgett monolayer of stearic acid. The I-V curves at 300 K have shown a pronounced Coulomb staircase. The current can be controlled by the lithographically fabricated gold gate electrode.
