Аннотация:A study is made of the optical properties of single crystals Gd, Tb and Dy in the spectral range 1-15 μm. The plasma and relaxation frequencies of conduction electrons are determined along and perpendicular to the hexagonal axis of the crystal. The reflectivity and permittivity are closely dependent on the polarization of radiation. The results on the kinetic parameters of current carriers are analysed on the basis of the structure and features of the Fermi surface of the metals.
