Аннотация:Factors influencing dissociation and phase separation in solutions of complexes formed between a fluorescently labeled poly(methacrylate) anion and globular proteins, lysozyme, chymotrypsinogene, and ribonuclease, were studied by the methods of fluorescence quenching and turbidimetric titration. It was shown that the behavior of these complexes and water-soluble nonstoichiometric polyelectrolyte complexes of oppositely charge polyions follows a general trend. It was demonstrated that approaches evolved in the study of nonstoichiometric polyelectrolyte complexes are beneficial for obtaining soluble protein-polyelectrolyte complexes undergoing phase separation in the desired ranges of pH and ionic strength of solutions.
