Аннотация:Below Curie temperature, some of the hydrogen-bonded compounds in the potassium dihydrogen phosphate family exhibit anomalous behavior of dielectric and pyroelectric properties, which can be attributed to an isostructural phase transition. Rapid cooling of rubidium dihydrogen arsenate and rubidium dihydrogen phosphate crystals results in development of a metastable ferroelectric-like state. One possible reason for this effect is the formation and self-organization of "flickering" dipoles each formed by an interstitial proton and a proton vacancy. On rapid cooling, the nonpolar phase of the crystals in question exhibits pyroelectric and dielectric properties reminiscent of the anomalous ferroelectric properties below the Curie temperature.
