Аннотация:In this paper the following issues are discussed: the components of the potential drop at the metal/solution interface and the corresponding components of the differential capacitance; the model interpretation of the metal/solution boundary without and with regard of the metal and solvent separate contributions; the Amokrane-Badiali model and its improvement when taking into account the chemisorptive interaction of solvent molecules with metals; and, finally, the development of views on the Volta's problem solution.
