Аннотация:Results of application of scanning near-field optical microscopy (SNFOM) for investigating the Faraday effect in iron garnet films are presented. The local distribution of the value of the magnetic circular double refraction obtained in the analysis of polarization of the radiation transmitted through the specimen and collected by the aperture probe has been measured. Possibilities of the separated observation of magnetic domains with opposite directions of the magnetization vectors and domain walls by the SNFOM method have been demonstrated.
