Аннотация:It was established that 289 nm (2-4 J/m2), 313, 334, and 365 nm (200-500 J/m2) monochromatic ultraviolet (UV) light activates the growth of yeast cells. Photostimulation of yeast growth is observed only in the presence of a temperature-dependent time interval (1-2 h) between UV irradiation of the cells and the beginning of their reproduction after inoculation onto nutrient medium. During this latent period UV-induced synthesis of an active metabolite (serotonin), capable of exerting a stimulating effect on yeast growth, occurs.
