Аннотация:Concentrations of compositions of polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs) have been studied in bog-podzolic, soddy gley, and alluvial soils within a technogenic geochemical anomaly in Moscow oblast. It is shown that the level of soil contamination by PAHs depends on the distance from the source of pollution. Spherical magnetic particles of 1-50 mum in diameter are associated with PAHs in the soil profiles. The largest portion of PAHs has been extracted from particulate organic matter (POM) that serves as a concentrator of PAHs. The portion of substituted PAHs increases with an increase in the distance from the pollution sources and the depth of soil horizons. The degree of homology of PAHs associated with POM is lower than that in the bulk soil mass.
