Аннотация:An examination was made of the mutual effects of TU (Thiourea) and an inorganic anion when jointly presented in the solution. The first stage of the work is concerned with the effect of a constant TU concentration on the specific adsorption of Br** minus ions on the mercury electrode in aqueous KBr solutions, which was studied by recording electrocapillary curves (ECC). Using the results obtained one can calculate the reduction in specific adsorption of Br** minus , DELTA F GAMMA // minus **(**1**), which is caused at different q equals const by the addition of a constant concentration of TU to the solution. It was not within the scope of this work to calculate the change in TU adsorption which occurs in the presence of KBr, since our measurements were performed at only one TU concentration. However, this effect could be estimated from the dependence of the two-dimensional pressure, DELTA zeta equals DELTA sigma ** plus q DELTA E, on KBr concentration.
