Аннотация:Equations to calculate the potential of zero charge as a function of adsorbate concentration were obtained and analyzed in terms of a model describing specific adsorption of organic ions. The calculated results are in harmony with experimental data concerning the adsorption of tetraalkylammonium ions on the mercury electrode. Analysis of the displacement of zero-charge potential with adsorbate concentration in the range of low surface coverages shows that the character of the limiting relationship that is obtained in terms of the present model is in harmony with conclusions drawn previously on the basis of the Grahame-Parsons model.
