Аннотация: The adsorption properties and structure of cellular graphites (CG) prepared from natural graphite by oxidative intercalation followed by thermal treatment was studied. The structural characteristics of oxidized graphite (OG) and CG synthesized at 600 and 1000 degrees C (CG-600 and CG-1000, respectively) and a foil produced by rolling these materials were determined from benzene adsorption isotherms. The effect of the mode of preparation of the CGs on their porous structure was examined. The data on the adsorption of water vapor on the samples under study suggest that the chemical properties of the surface depend on the conditions of CG synthesis. It was shown that the temperature of thermal treatment is a factor that largely determines the characteristics of the mesopore structure and the existence of ultramicroporosity; however, it had no effect on the specific volume of micropores. The degree of hydrophobization of the surface increases with the temperature of synthesis and upon rolling.
