Аннотация:A protein with a molecular weight of 26 kD (p26), capable of binding to immobilized delipidated rhodopsin, has been detected in the photoreceptor cells of the retina. Monospecific antibodies against p26 have been produced. Using these antibodies it has been demonstrated that p26 is localized in the outer and inner segments of the photoreceptor cells. In antigenic properties, p26 differs from all the known proteins of the photoreceptor cells.
