Аннотация:A new version of the statistical method for determining the adsorption parameters that is based on the optimization of differential capacitance curves in solutions of simple organic substances is developed. The method is used for analyzing data earlier published concerning the adsorption of ethyl, n-propyl, and n-butyl alcohols on a mercury electrode from aqueous solutions with 0.1 M NaF as the supporting electrolyte. The applicability to these systems of certain phenomenological models for the reversible adsorption of organic substances on electrodes is discussed.
