The isotherms of adsorption of two dyes (rhodamines C and 6G) and six proteins (basic, neutral, and acid) from water on silica gels (initial and modified by fullerene and by aminopropyl groups) and on graphitized thermal carbon black are compared. Fullerene C-60 was immobilized on LiChrospher SI-500 macroporous silica gel modified by gamma-aminopropyltriethoxysilane. The concentrations of amino groups and immobilized fullerene on the surface were 1.9 and 0.54 mu mol/m(2), respectively. The limiting adsorption of both dyes on silica gel with C-60 approximately corresponded to an equimolar fullerene-to-dye ratio.
