Аннотация:The purpose of this study is to examine the topic of criminal acts of soldiers of the Red Army against the civilian population of Poland in 1944-1945. Coverage was given to such aspects of the issues as the scope and nature of illegal actions by Soviet soldiers and officers in relation to non-combatants. The issues of military crimes on behalf of the Red Army are introduced. A comparative analysis of the behavior of Red Army soldiers, Polish Army and the civilian population was conducted. The new archival sources - stored in the Central Archive of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation, summary reports and political bodies of the 1st Ukrainian and 2nd Belorus Fronts on the attitudes of the population in the liberated areas of Poland in 1944-1945 were introduced to the scientific circles.
