Аннотация:Nowadays there are plenty of methods for accurate navigation inside the building using Wi-Fi/Bluetooth received signal strength (RSS), smartphone internal sensors (accelerometer, gyroscope, magnetometer) and information about the building structure(digital map). A big drawback of these methods is the time-consuming stage of system implementation, during which radio map of signals is measured. In this paper we propose to significantly reduce the deployment phase by utilizing simultaneous localization and mapping (SLAM) technique with a foot-mounted IMU. This method does not require any prior information about the building structure and wireless networks that are located inside. The proposed positioning method can be applied by the first responders, firefighters and other emergency services for navigation in unequipped spaces.
