Аннотация:The perfluoroorganic compounds (PFOC) have high chemical and thermal stabilities, perfect biological passivity and low-power intermolecular interactions. The last property permits PFOC to dissolve and to transport many quantities of gases (O2 and CO2), that is very important for using them as blood substitutes. In this work, the thermodynamic properties of the1– bromoperfluorooktane (BPFO) has been studied. This compound is known to use as a carrier and contrast agents in the medical treatment of the hart disease and in the x – ray and ultrasound examinations. In spite of it, there is a lack of the data on relevant physiko-chemical properties of BPFO.
This paper deals with the experimental and calculation methods of thermodynamic properties investigation of BPFO in wide temperature range from 5 K up to critical point. The two experimental methods are applied: adiabatic calorimetry in temperature range from 10 K to 347 K and comparative ebulliometry for determination of the vapor pressure in dependence on temperature in moderate pressure interval 6.2 kPa - 101.6 kPa.
