Аннотация:The temperature of electrons downstream of the solar wind termination shock (TS) is determined on the basis of the available measurements of electrons with energies >0.022 MeV made by the Voyager 2 spacecraft after the shock crossing in 2007 August–September. Our approach is based on the hypothesis that electrons in the inner heliosheath can be described by so-called κ-distribution. The distribution depends on three free parameters: the number density of the electrons, their effective temperature, and parameter κ. Since the measured electron fluxes are presented in three energetic ranges, we have three relations to determine the unknown quantities. Our estimates show that the effective kinetic temperature of the electrons downstream of the TS is about 50 eV.
