- Аннотация: Two sources of UV extinction in the range λ \lt 2000 Å are compared for WR outflowing atmospheres: scattering in the wings of strong UV resonance lines of abundant elements (C, N, O, Si, etc.) and absorption in subordinate Fe IV - VI lines. Several arguments confirming the first model are discussed and observational tests are suggested to distinguish between these extinction sources.
