Аннотация:A sensitive method for chromatographic determination of thiourea and its N-derivatives has been developed. Thiourea, methyl-, ethyl-, dimethyl-, diethyl-, phenyl-, allyl-, acethylthiourea were eluted from high-performance liquid chromatography C18-bonded silica column by mobile phase containing 0.02 mol L-1 phosphate buffer solution (pH 5.0) and acetonitrile 20% (v/v). These compounds in the effluent were monitored by using photometric measurement of decreasing absorbance in postcolumn bromopyrogallol redhydrogen peroxide reaction catalyzed by each of thioureas. The optimum conditions for the catalytic reaction in static and flow modes were chosen. The conditions for the catalytic postcolumn reaction in the presence of thioureas were established by varying pH value, concentrations of bromopyrogallol red and hydrogen peroxide in the postcolumn-reaction mixture and the reaction coil length. Careful choice of the reactor length and optimization of parameters for flow conditions was demonstrated to be very important for maximum analytical signal. It was shown, that the use of chromatographic separation with the catalytic detection allows increasing selectivity and sensitivity of determination of thiourea and its derivatives.
