Аннотация:Two-dimensional and three-dimensional motions of a rigid body carrying a movable internal mass equipped with an actuator are considered. It is shown that, in the absence of external forces, the body can be transferred from an initial orientation to any prescribed terminal one by special relative motions of the internal mass. Optimal and suboptimal motions of the system are discussed. The results obtained can be applied to capsule robots and attitude control of spacecraft.
