Аннотация:Measurements of the ground ozone and the acoustic remote sensing of a low atmosphere are carried out continuously and simultaneously at the Meteorological observatory of Moscow State University (MSU). The results of observations during the period from July to September of 2001 are presented in this article. The daily course of ozone demonstrates a clear maximum in the afternoon due to photochemical processes and a convective mixing. At night concentrations of ozone become two or three times less on account of ozone depletion near the ground due to absorption. The sodar records reliably indicate time of creation, lift-off and destruction of a surface turbulized inversion. Averaged for these moments ozone concentrations demonstrate a non-monotonous nocturnal change, when a rate of an evening decrease goes to nothing after an inversion’s appearance. The possible explanation of that is equilibrium between a turbulent mixing and the ground absorption. A simple theoretical model of these processes is suggested.
