Аннотация:A description of the most informative integral parameters used for studying the evolution of the solar active region McM 5395 during March 8-16, 1989 is presented. The informational entropy, which characterizes the degree of breakup of the region, had quasi-periodic variations for the S-polarity and exhibited a pronounced cyclic nature on the phase diagram. Analysis of a dependence between the entropy and the spot umbra area made it possible to determine several rapid structural changes associated with the flare activity of the region. The variation of the values of the magnetic field gradient shows the correlation (the correlation coefficient is about 0.7) with a stream density of moderate-energy solar protons.
