Аннотация:Numerical analysis of the kinetics of a gas laser generator-amplifier system with continuous excitation and transverse flow of the active medium has been performed. It has been found out that, depending on a number of parameters (relative rate of relaxation and gas exchange, loss in the laser resonator, etc.), the continuous wave generation becomes unstable and self-pulsing regime arises. The existence range of the self-pulsing regime has been investigated at various parameters of the laser system. Due to high peak laser power, the self-pulsing mode of operation can be successfully applied in laser technology.
