Аннотация:The article presents the results of desk research and a case study on the importance of digitalization in hospitality. The authors highlight five stages of the hospitality industry evolution in terms of digital transformation, discuss the role of digital platforms in the hospitality business, and present the results of the hotel business operations analysis. The two automated systems of integration to optimize internal processes and improve the quality of data processing demonstrate that digital technologies in the hotel business are essential. They allow using traditional management schemes on a new basis, leading to a higher level of customer understanding and service customization. Russian hoteliers need to use digital platforms more intensively and more competently to maintain and develop their competitiveness.
