Аннотация:The pattern of pollinators' movements determines the dynamics of the pollen transfer between zoophilous plants. The structure of plant populations depends on this aspect of the pollinators' foraging behavior. A new method for the description of the rate of pollinators' moving away from an object was used for the more precise determination of a distance, at which they transfer pollen. The method is based on measuring the distances that pollinators cover for several flights. The highest rate was found in hoverflies (Diptera, Syrphidae). Butterflies (Pieris brassicae) seem to he of little importance in the long-distance pollen transfer due to their round movements.
