Аннотация:
Computer simulation was used to study the mechanisms of autowave propagation across local inhomogeneities of one-dimensional active media. Autowave tunneling through an inexcitable obstacle was analyzed within the framework of the Zeldovich-Frank-Kamenetsky and FitzHugh-Nagumo models and shown to be a threshold phenomenon. An autowave penetrates a barrier and continues to run if the inexcitable obstacle width is smaller than some critical value. The conditions were determined under which periodic sources of secondary pulses arise from medium inhomogeneities. Their properties were shown to depend on the widths of zones with high and low excitation thresholds. The conditions were specified that cause a local inhomogeneity to behave as a source of pulses propagating either in one direction or in both directions but at different frequencies.
