Аннотация:To reduce the level of environmental pollution, technologies are used to convert the mercury contained in the waste into the most stable form – sulfides. Ball mills and/or vibratory mills have been proposed as a reactor for such reactions. The main technological operations of the proposed method of immobilization of mercury and its compounds (mercury waste) include the following stages: grinding mercury waste, processing of crushed mercury waste powdered elemental sulfur or sulfur-containing compounds to bind the bulk of metallic mercury and mercury oxide, processing of crushed products with the addition of reagents to bind the residual mass of metallic mercury, preparation of a homogenizing medium, drying of the resulting precipitate. To drain the resulting reaction masses from the mill and other devices it is proposed to use as a homogenizing medium bentonite or drilling fluids based on bentonite.
