Implicit theories of emotions, emotional intelligence and emotional creativityтезисы доклада

- Аннотация: The goal of this study was to investigate the relationships between implicittheories of emotions (ITE) and other components in personality regulation of decision making (DM) under the conditions of uncertainty. We hypothesize that beliefs about malleability of emotions are related to emotional intelligence, adaptive coping strategies, rationality and riskiness as personality factors influencing DM. Russian students completed measures: ITE (Tamir et al., 2007), Emotional Intelligence (EI) (Lyusin, 2009), Personality Factors of DM (Kornilova, 1994), Melbourne DM Questionnaire (Kornilova, 2013), Risk Intelligence (Craparo et al., 2018). Malleable ITE correlates positively with managing emotions, rationality and adaptive coping – vigilance, and negatively – with unacceptance of uncertainty, emotional vulnerability and maladaptive copings – procrastination, avoidance, hypervigilance. Rationality correlates with EI. Overall, ITE correlates positively with rationality and self-efficacy in DM, adaptive coping, and negatively – with emotional vulnerability and maladaptive coping.
