Chironomus.
Chironomus и р. Dreissena, на каменистых – Viviparus viviparus
и Lymnaea psilia, на песчаных – Stictochironomus gr. histrio, на глинистых – Cladotanytarsus gr.
mancus, Cryptochironomus gr. defectus, St. gr. histrio, Polypedilum gr. Scalaenum и Psammoryctides barbatus + молодь сем. Tubificidae.
Dreissena и р. Chironomus, к
Cladotanytarsus, р. Stictochironomus и р. Polypedilum.
The Gorky reservoir macrozoobenthos was studied during the fishery research of the fish food reserve in summer periods of 2013–2016. A rather high faunistic richness of benthic organisms (170 taxa) was found; the majority of the organisms are chironomid larvae (60), mollusks (54), and oligochaetes (25). The reservoir is considered as α-β-eutrophic on the base of the feed benthos delelopment level.
The mollusks, mainly Dreissena juveniles, dominate in the feed biomass of the river sections: the
amount of soft benthos, mainly large Chironomus larvae, is increased in the lower river reaches.
Taking into account the density index on different reservoir sediments, the dominant complexes
were determined: on silty soils – Chironomus and Dreissena, on stony soils – Viviparus viviparus
and Lymnaea psilia on sandy soils – Stictochironomus gr. histrio, on clay soils – Cladotanytarsus gr. mancus, Cryptochironomus gr. defectus, St. gr. histrio, Polypedilum gr. scalaenum и Psammoryctides barbatus+ juvenile tubifid. Eight trophic groups were determined in the detected complexes of dominants and subdominants depending on the type of nutrition; the most common groups are phytodetritophage-filterers, phytodetritophage-filterers+foragers and detritophage-forages. The first two groups include Dreissena and Chironomus, the third group – Cladotanytarsus, Stictochironomus and Polypedilum. The saprobiological index increases from the upper river part to the dam part, which characterizes the lowest part of the reservoir as α-mesosaprobic zone. The river parts and lake reach correspond to β-mesosaprobic zone.
