Аннотация:The propagation of acoustic waves in the conductive layers of the earth and in the ionosphere may lead to a disturbance in the geomagnetic field. The interest shown in this problem in recent times is associated with the possibility of recording electromagnetic perturbations of seismic origin. Thus, the electromagnetic signal transmitted by a Rayleigh surface wave has been studied in [1,2]. An examination was conducted into relationship between the signal and the parameters of the medium and the seismic source at great distances from source [1].In this particular paper we devote our primary attention to the electromagnetic processes which occur near the source of the longitudinal spherical wave. We have obtained an exact analytical solution for an unbounded medium to describe the magnetic perturbations which arise in the the arbitrary functioning of the seismic source. This made it possible not only to analyze the perturbations localized near the front of an elastic wave, but also to study the prcesses of diffusion of the elctric currnt from the points at which this elastic wave originates, which had not been studied in [1,2].
