Individual found at ca. 2020 h, near stream; surrounding habitat consisted of secondary evergreen forests. First record for Lam Dong and Nghe An provinces in Vietnam (Nguyen et al. 2009. Herpetofauna of Vietnam. Edition Chimaira, Frankfurt AM, Germany. 786 pp.). Locality in Lam Dong Province currently represents southernmost distribution limit, ca. 316 km SSW from nearest previously known population in Kon Ka Kinh National Park, Gia Lai Province, Vietnam (Malhotra et al. 2011. Mol. Phylogenet. Evol. 59: 444–457). Species also known from southeast China and northern and central Vietnam (Fong et al. 2017. Herpetol. Notes 10:457–461).
