Аннотация:Interaction of hydrogen with ZrMo2 having C15 Laves phase cubic structure at pressure up to 2500 bars was studied. The amount of sorbed hydrogen was calculated using a modified van der Waals equation for hydrogen at high pressure, proposed by Hemmes: (p + a(p)/V )∙(V - b(p)) = RT [1]. Hydrogen absorption-desorption isotherms were measured at divers temperatures (fig. 1) and values of ΔH (ΔH=26.38kJ/molH2) and ΔS (ΔS=127.22 J/molH2×K) were calculated.
The structure of synthesized at 2000 bars pressure ZrMo2D4.0 has been investigated by X-ray and neutron diffraction methods. It was revealed, that ordering of deuterium in the cubic lattice of ZrMo2 led to the formation of superstructure with tetragonal lattice [2, 3] (fig. 2). The occupancy of the positions of deuterium and metal atoms was determined and the interatomic distances were calculated in deuteride structure. In tetragonal lattice deuterium atoms occupy 16f site.
