Investigation of the Relationship between the Fine Structure of Thermal Fields and Regional Geodynamic Processes on the Basis of the North Caucasus Geophysical Observatoryтезисы доклада
Аннотация:Quantitative information on the flow of heat from the interior of the Earth is fundamental for a deeper understanding of the relationship between fluid-magmatic and geodynamic processes. However, only the first kilometers of the earth's crust are available for direct measurements of deep temperatures, but indirectly, based on data on the Earth's heat flow; it is possible to determine its internal temperature. Placing a precision temperature measurement system in the immediate vicinity of Elbrus Volcano allows obtaining unique data on the structure and dynamics of the thermal field in its vicinity. The study of this volcano is a particularly important task, both from the point of view of obtaining new fundamental knowledge about the structure of magmatic structures, and from the point of view of assessing the volcanic hazard caused by the presence of liquid magmatic melt in the interior of the volcano, which in turn will allow obtaining new data on the potential hazard Elbrus volcanic center. Assessment of the contributions of conductive and convective components to the heat flux makes it possible to draw conclusions about the dynamics of the fluid-magmatic system of the Elbrus volcanic center and study the mode of its functioning, as well as can be used to monitorvolcanic hazard.
