Аннотация:The reversible tuning of the lasing wavelength in CLCs containing photosensitive nematic azoor azoxy-components and photoinsensitive chiral dopants was investigated. Reversible light controlled lasing was achieved by the trans-cis photoisomerization of chiral azodopants. The photoisomerization of the dyes and tuning of laser wavelength was achieved by means of irradiation from LEDs. The maximum exposure times were varied from 1.5 mm for mixtures with azo-containing compounds to 10 mm for mixtures with azoxy-containing compounds. The experimental result shows that the laser tuned in both the directions, from longer to shorter wavelengths and vice versa by exploiting the reversible photoisomerization of both azo components of the cholesteric mixture.
